The original locality of described Amargosa Chaos is found on Rt. 178 between Salisbury Pass and Jubilee Pass. More Chaos has been located northeast of this location as well.

Suggestions for your visit

Notice the intense faulting and folding present in this region. Shear faults resulted in the chaotic nature of the rock, and with four major events of faulting in its history, you can appreciate how much the rock has been changed throughout its history.
